Homemade Potato Chips with Olive Oil Recipe

Instructions

  • Peel and wash the potatoes.
  • Slice the potatoes thinly, about 1/8 inch thick, with a sharp knife or mandoline slicer.
  • To remove excess starch, soak the potato slices in a large bowl of cold water for about 30 minutes.
  • Drain the potato slices and pat them dry with a clean towel.
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  • Toss the potato slices with olive oil to coat evenly.
  • Place the potato slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in a single layer.
  • Season the potato slices with salt.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges begin to brown.
  • Remove the potato chips from the oven and set aside for a few minutes to cool.
  • Serve and have fun.
