Potato Gratin Recipe

This rich and delicious classic French dish is a rich and delicious way to enjoy potatoes. Thinly sliced potatoes are baked until tender and golden brown, then layered with a creamy garlic sauce.

Ingredients

1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon salt
6 large peeled and thinly sliced potatoes
2 cups heavy cream

Time Needed

Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 1 hour, 15 minutes
Total Time: 1 hour, 35 minutes

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F.
(190 degrees C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine heavy cream, garlic, salt, and pepper.
In a 9x13 inch baking dish, arrange sliced potatoes.
Pour the cream mixture over the potatoes and top with the Parmesan cheese.
Bake for 45 minutes, covered with foil.
Remove the foil and continue baking for another 25-30 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
Allow 10 minutes to cool before serving.
