Danish Caramel Potatoes Recipe
Danish Caramel Potatoes are a traditional Danish side dish made of tender baby potatoes and a rich, sweet caramel sauce.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 pound baby potatoes
- 1/2 cup water
Time Needed
- Prep Time: 10 minutes
- Cook Time: 20 minutes
- Total Time: 30 minutes
Instructions
- Boil the baby potatoes for 15-20 minutes, or until tender.
- Cook the sugar and water in a separate saucepan over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and turns golden brown.
- Remove from the heat and stir in the butter and heavy cream until smooth.
- Drain the potatoes and gently stir them into the caramel sauce to coat.
- Serve as a sweet and savory side dish while still hot.
