Instructions

  • Cover the chopped potatoes with water in a large pot.
  • Bring to a boil and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are fork-tender.
  • Return the potatoes to the pot after draining.
  • Combine the milk, butter, salt, and black pepper in a mixing bowl.
  • Mash the potatoes with a potato masher until smooth and creamy.
  • Cook the chopped bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 8-10 minutes, while the potatoes are cooking.
  • Set aside the bacon using a slotted spoon.
  • Cook the sliced bratwurst sausages in the same skillet until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes.
  • With a slotted spoon, remove the sausages and set aside with the bacon.
  • Add the minced garlic and olive oil to the same skillet.
  • Cook for about 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant.
  • Cook the cannellini beans in the skillet until heated through, about 5 minutes.
